Are You Tired Of Your Words Falling On Deaf Ears?
Are You Tired Of Arguing With Babe About The Same Thing Week After Week?
What if I told you that there was a way for you to improve the quality of communication in your relationship?
Would you want to know how?
If you're still reading I'm assuming the answer is "Yes"! Yes I want to improve the quality of my communication and I want to express myself in relationships without ending up in a Full Blown argument.
Well in response to that I've got Good News and I've got Great News! The good news is that I have written a book on how to improve your communication. And the great news, I'll get to in a moment, but first allow me to tell you why I wrote the book.
I wrote Communication: The First Key Of Your Relationship to help people overcome the common barriers and obstacles that can occur when our communication efforts are ineffective. I can't even tell you how many times I used to say something to my girlfriend that would totally get blown out of proportion. It was like no matter what I said, it would some how get twisted around to make me look like the villian. And you know what? It was frustrating as hell!. It frustrated me to the point that I was ready to give up on dating and relationships completely. I thought that relationships were nothing more than drama waiting to happen.
This was all until I learned how to improve the quality of my communication and express my words in way that my girlfriend understood. I learned that I needed to understand how she communicated before I could speak to her in a language that she understood. Allow me to elaborate.
The problems my girlfriend and I had weren't because someone cheated or blew up, it was because we couldn't connect on an emotional level. We couldn't connect because we weren't communicating effectively. Talk about a lot of sleepless nights. Talk about having an awkward silence with the person lying next in your bed.
Fortunately, I didn't give up on our relationship and I sought to find a better way of communicating. I did this by first understanding how I express myself to others. I did a little self-analysis of my own interactions with my girlfriend and others and paid close attention the responses I received during a verbal exchange. In doing that, I learned that I myself use a lot of metaphors and analogies where as my girlfriend at that time didn't. She held more of a direct and to the point conversation.
So you know what I did? I cut back on my use of metaphors and used a more direct and shorter form of speech. And you'll never believe what happened! My girlfriend and I started talking. It was like meeting her again for the first time. We would spend nights just laughing and sharing stories about our past and discussing our dreams. Looking back now, I believe that is the moment I knew I was onto something sweet.
Suddenly I had thoughts like "What else is there I don't know about communication?" and I began exploring even further, digging deeper. I read I don't know how many books on communication from various authors and psych studies. I just kept reading and the more I read the better my communication improved. It blossomed not only in my relationships, but in my professional life as well. I could talk to my boss about things I would have never imagined before because I had the confidence and I knew how to tap into his way of communication. Yes, I got the raise, in fact I got two..lol
Now enough about the good news, let me tell you about the Great News!
You know that book I mentioned earlier about communication? I've placed it at the bottom of this page jam-packed with information to help you improve the quality of your relationships. Yep it's all there.
