When it comes to long distance relationships, a lot of people are quick to jump and say that it's unrealistic, it won't survive. But what's the reason they would be so quick to dismiss a perfectly good chance at something beautiful? Well, as I stated tonight I'm going to talk about some of the barriers and concerns people have when even considering a long distance relationship. Here we go!
5 Reasons Long Distance Relationships Don't Work
Infidelity Jump right into it why don't we..lol We may laugh, but this is a very real concern for a long distance relationship. Especially, if the couple is just starting out. They haven't yet developed that trust and if they have, it's going to be put to the ultimate test. Someone that requires a lot of sex and physical contact will abandon ship at the mere thought that they might have to take a longer shower or buy some toys to get through a lonely night. If you're not one whose willing to do without then this may be something you'll need to think about before dating someone miles away. |
Poor Communication Now, let's just be honest, some people are hard to read if you're not standing right in front of them. It can be nearly impossible to have a conversation on the phone without getting frustrated because of their sarcastic tone or distracted phone presence. If you're with someone that isn't a solid communicator, being in a long distance relationship is going to be a real trail. |
Distance Long distance relationships were not meant for the hermit..lol If you're someone that doesn't like to get out on the road or hop a plane, you will perish at this point. Being in a long distance relationship takes commitment and by commitment, I mean be willing to travel outside of your comfy state or country. You will need to see each other in person at some point, if it's really going to work;) |
Too Much Too Soon Now this area can be a little tricky because the obvious step in any healthy long distance relationship is to close the gap. But may mercy find the Babe who closes the gap too soon..lol When you're in a relationship stretched out across the country, you can't help, but want to be close to your Sweety. But do you know what you're getting into? Living apart you will never get the chance to see him clip his toenails at the dinner table, but as soon as his moves in...Watch your taters..lol |
Lack Of Creativity Boredom...Boredom..Boredom... People that become restless when their head isn't inserted firmly into Babe's arse will go stir crazy in a long distance relationship. Hell, they may even become postal with all those ruminating thoughts bouncing off the walls of their mind...lol To be successful in a long distance relationship, it is vital that you have a hobby or interest besides the Babe. Why? Because you will not survive those nights when you're bored out of your mind and find out that Babe is at a kick-ass party. You will become frustrated at the little things and while you're mopping around the house being sad, Babe is out having the time of their life. This can quickly cause someone to feel envy and that has no place in any relationship. |
