I don't know if you noticed yet, but there are some things in the course of any relationship that will always remain true.
"Don't Cheat" and "Always Tell The Truth".
Now of course these are the most obvious, but there are a few others that one should know if they are to find happiness in their relationships. Can you guess what they are? Come take a look for yourself.

Communication Is A "Must Have" In Your Relationship
When the communication stops between you and the one you love or are "like with" ends, bad things can happen in your relationship.
Things like doubt and insecurity can sweep in like the plague and completely destroy any chance at recovery because healthy communication is vital for stability.
When you talk and share your thoughts, feelings and opinions with the one you care about, you build trust. You build trust with every word, but note that if your words are negative they can also weaken the bond with your Sweety.
Communication, be it verbal or nonverbal is how we relate to others and if it's absent from your relationship , well then, you won't have much to hang onto when times get tough.

Pain Is Never The Answer
I don't care whose fault it was or is for leaving the stove on, but slapping each other will not make the situation better.
In any relationship between two people, there will be points of friction. You will not always agree on everything and sometimes you will be pissed to the highest level of pissivity..lol
But, under no circumstances will a slap or an insult make the situation any better.
The main reason is because people don't get into relationships to feel bad about themselves, they want to feel better. No one gets a relationship to be mistreated or belittled, people want to be treated with compassion and respect.
This should be a no-brainer, but I figured I would mention it again, just in case you or someone you know has lost their way.

Take Your Time When Getting To Know Someone
Some people think that a good relationship means you meet him, fall in love and move in together within 3 weeks. This couldn't be farther from the "Right" thing to do.
Take your time and get to know someone before rushing into a tight situation that you will be dying to get out of.
I don't know how many relationships have ended prematurely because someone didn't want to wait for before taking things to the next level.
If the relationship you're in is going to go the distance, it will need time to grow just like a flower.
Hell, even Miracle-Gro doesn't grow flowers in 2 days..lol

Boundaries Create Space
Now you might be saying, "What about boundaries in my relationship?"
Well, I'm glad you asked..lol
Boundaries can serve as a means of maintaining your personal space when involved in a relationship.
They come in all shapes, sizes and colors. Allow me to give you some examples:
Fred knows that Jane doesn't like talking about her grandfather's passing because she told him that's a sore subject. (verbal)
Keisha doesn't tease Mike about his height because he told her how insecure he is around people that are taller than him. (verbal) (internal)
But, also know that boundaries can hinder a relationship's growth:
I don't trust men because everyone I dated treated me like crap (internal)
I want him to kiss me, but I told him that I don't kiss on the first date (verbal)
These are just a few types and examples, but if you want me to deep dive on boundaries let me know in the comments or with a quick email.
In short, boundaries can remove drama or add problems to your relationship. Choose wisely.

Sex Isn't Everything
It doesn't matter how good the sex is...if the rest of the relationship sucks it's only a matter of time before it's over.
So now, knowing this going in, one would be wise to think about the relationships they decide to "take seriously" and appreciate "flings" for what they are.
Because even though pretty boy Floyd has a Big Tuba that hits those low notes you love..what's the conversation like when he's not playing?
How does he treat you when you don't feel like hearing his song? How many women does he play his song for? And is a Big Tuba really that important? Besides, there are some nice clarinet players out there..lol
