Is it because some people are still living in the dark ages and haven't learned anything past what their grandparents can teach? Or are people afraid that dating outside of their race will cause their peers to think of them differently?
Well, I'm here to tell you that no matter what you do in this life or the next, you will always be judged..lol Just face the facts, it's unavoidable. But... I will also tell you that allowing something as simple as a person's color to limit you from experiencing all the love that awaits you is just foolish.

The World Is Your Platter
So many flavors to choose from...
When you date someone of another race, cultural background etc, you are opening yourself to a wider selection of "Fish In the Sea". Sure, you can keep fishing in the same local pond catching the same catfish over and over, but what if you want a Marlin? FYI, Marlins don't live in ponds and neither do cuddle fish or tunas. See where I'm going with this?
If you keep dealing with the same type of people, you will continue to get the same results. This is why it's important to keep all of your options open and allow yourself variety in you're relationship diet.
I know for me, choosing to look beyond the wall of what I was expected to date allowed me to have some of the most rewarding and fulfilling relationships I've ever had.
Don't limit yourself, instead reward yourself. Love can't come into your life if you're not open to it.

You'll know when it's right
As someone whose dated a kaleidoscope of interesting people from various backgrounds and cultures, I've learned that people are people.
Of course, there are a few individuals that fall into the stereotypical role and act just like the people in the movies, but for the most part, people are people.
I'm not going to sit here and say that all white people act a certain way nor would I say that all black people act a certain way. I'm not here to make generalizations, I'm here to tell you the truth.
When it comes to having a great relationship, base your expectations and feelings on what someone shows you through action..not on the color of their skin.

Now I don't know about you, but I'm a visual person. There's just something extra sexy about the contrast of colors in the rainbow, especially in the bedroom. It doesn't matter if there's black and white, brown and yellow or purple, green and everything in between...it's a beautiful thing.
Another added benefit that I'm sure many of you can attest to is that with different ethnicities come different body types. Some features will be bolder, broader, hell even bigger in some cultures..lol Ladies, I'm going to let you use your own imagination on that one, but there are differences.
So let me ask you, have you ever wanted to try something different? Would you let a little thing like someone's color keep you from having the most amazing sex of your life?

There Will Always Be Haters
Haters Gonna Hate
"The haters...can't disown them, can't kill them..so we rise over them".
As I said at the beginning of this insight, there will always be people trying to judge your actions no matter what you do, but don't let their old school mentality kill your love. It's not 1932 and you are free to date, love and kiss whoever the hell you want.
So what if the guy's blacker than you're laptop or looks like he could be Bruce Lee's 3rd cousin, it's your relationship. If you let other people dictate your love-life, what's next? Are you going to let them tell you what you can and can't eat?
One of the greatest struggles an interracial couple faces doesn't come from the outsiders, but from family. Family can be the toughest to deal with since they already have your emotional interest. They know just what to say and how to say it to push your buttons.
But.. if you want to have the relationship you desire, you'll have to stand up to them and hopefully your boyfriend will do the same.

At the end of the day when the lights go off, sleeping in the arms of someone who loves you for you is what's important. It doesn't matter if your man of mystery comes from the other side of the planet or next door, if he makes you happy be happy.
