If your on the site reading this post, then chances are high that you've experienced the underbelly of Facebook. I'm talking about that shit that will have you ready to launch a nuclear attack on your Boo, your cousin and their little dog too..lol Well, maybe not the dog, but you know what I'm talking about. Facebook drama is responsible for creating unnecessary problems in relationships and just making you're overall Facebook experience miserable. So how do you deal with it? Let's just start by identifying a few common causes and go from there. You Ready? Okay... |
Now before we even dig into this behemoth, you've got to understand that there are tons of causes and I'm just going to highlight a few of the main ones. If you feel that something is left off the list, feel free to add it in the comments below. The causes will not be listed in any specific order because drama has no order in it.
You see the one thing that people fail to understand is that private matters should be left as private matters. It's just that simple, but somewhere along the lines of blabbing about what you ate last night, people thought it was okay to air their dirty laundry. So what happens when they or you do that? People get pissed off beyond belief and then here comes the trippin. Snappy little snide comments start popping up when you ask how your babe is doing or your phone starts getting unauthorized audits from your jealous boo.
Funny thing about it though is that all of this can be prevented, if you just follow a few simple rules. Now, I don't want you to use these rules as your "How to Creep On Facebook Guide" but merely as a reference, a reminder of how to keep your Boo-Thang from trippin.

5 Rules Of Facebook
Rule # 1- Do not, I repeat do not post any of your arguments with your babe in your newsfeed. This is the quickest way to get outsiders tossing their opinions into the mix and taking drama to a whole new level.
Rule #2- Always clear your messages and chat boards from your pc, phone or whatever device you use after using. If you do this as a habit, even with your boo's chats it will not seem suspect when you delete that delicious convo you had with the smoking red head or that huge hunk of man-meat in your friend list.
Rule #3- If there's a hot girl/guy in your friend stream and you just got to "like" their pics...Either send them a message in the inbox or pick up the phone and call them(you slippery snake you). Chances are, if your interested in them like that then you have already set up communication outside of Facebook.
Rule #4- Utilize the privacy features in your Facebook settings. You can set your profile up to where specific status updates and/or conversations do not show up in your public feed. It's a delicate procedure, but if your having those questionable interactions, this might do you some good.
Rule #5- Be honest with yourself. If you've got to sneak to talk to someone then chances are you are not really that happy with the one your with.
Rule #6- Yeah, I know I said 5, but this one should have been at the top of the list. Never ever turn over your Facebook password! I know it's going to cause waves for some of you, but if someone can't trust you, why are you even with them to begin with?

And That's That
Sure there's a lot more to be said, but we can dig into that in future posts. Now, if you have a specific drama or situation that you would like to discuss, drop it in the comments below or send an email and I'll give you my honest opinion. So with that said, "Happy FaceBooking" and say no to the drama!
