As I've Met Many Women Of All Shapes And Sizes, Colors And Creeds...
One interesting thing I've noticed across the board is that no matter what status of women I've met, a lot of them had a Lingering Man.
Now you ask, What is a "Lingering Man"? Allow me to explain.
The Lingering Man is a ex-companion of a woman that hasn't received the memo that their relationship is over. This is also a man that continues to pop up in her life, even though she has started spending time with someone new.
Now the problem with this man is that just his presence alone casts a dark shadow over the woman's entire disposition. Everything from her attitude to her actions can be influenced by his contact. A text message, a surprise visit at work, an unexpected gift..these are all tools he uses to keep her engaged.
Any man trying to start a relationship with this woman will quickly grow tired of the amount of attention she gives to this relic from her past. Especially since knowing that the reason she even continues to deal with this man is because she doesn't want to hurt his feelings.
Hurt his feelings? What? It's over, why is she still worried about his feelings?
These are the types of questions men will ponder when a woman doesn't end a relationship before beginning a new one, "Why does she allow this guy to linger on in her life?"
She has no kids by him, but she still keeps him around. Does she want to get back with him? Or is she just afraid of being alone? What's really going on here?
