In The Beginning Of A Relationship
People often shift and adjust to be the "Perfect" person just to fit into someone else's world.
They start making a little snip here, a little tweak there and the next thing you know, you don't even recognize them. They seem like a former shell of themselves because they don't even like the things they used to do. Or at least they say they don't.
No more girl's night out or binge watching some cheesy show on Netflix, they're world slowly begins to revolve around "Him".
For some reason, "He" is all she thinks about. He is all she wants and "He" is all she does.
Do you know anyone like that? Have you ever witnessed a friend become so completely consumed with their relationship that they forget about you?

Her whole logic revolves around this guy and his desires, his dreams, but what happened to hers? Where'd they go?
I mean, it's not like she's been hijacked by aliens right? Where did the friend you've known for years suddenly go?
Remember the days when she used to spend hours with you on the phone laughing and chatting about nothing special, but just spending time?
Remember how she used to come by and cheer you up when you were sad? Or what about how she always knew just what to do when you were in trouble?
Seems like a distant past because all she talks about now is "Him".

Oh shut up! Lol, sometimes you just want to tell her that don't you? Just let her know how you feel about the situation and how much you wish she'd just come back.

And even though you already know how it's going to end, you'll support her because you're just that good of a friend.
You'll always be there for her even when she's too wrapped up in his world to be there for you.
You'll listen to all her rants and raves without scolding her(like you want to) and try to be as understanding as humanely possible.
Challenging, I know, but that's what best friends do for one another. They support each other even when the future seems bleak, full knowing that one of you may be alone in the end.
And even though you already know how it's going to end, you'll support her because you're just that good of a friend.

Long nights of bottomless ice cream and guy-talk all night, dissipating into the past. Days of shop til you drop have been traded for 2 hours at the mall looking at a new watch she might buy for...him.
